TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

At the deepest level, HAOS is a tool for self-improvement and assisting others. We share the wisdom of HAOS for the good of others and want our students to use their knowledge with responsibility and good intentions. While studying combat is the main objective of HAOS, studying the standard of behaviour associated with the martial arts is of even higher importance. Accordingly, HAOS instructors gain the trust of those who put their faith in them by setting the example. The way of life that a martial arts school provides and the wisdom it delivers about oneself as a result of its practices reflects the truest nature of that particular discipline. HAOS combative training seeks to cultivate human excellence, overcome ego, and eliminate extreme desires in order to develop clarity and objectivity in all things. By forging our character and removing unethical conduct, we gain awareness of the human misery around us and aspire to spread compassion, harmony and peace to the rest of humanity.

"The measure of man is what he does with power."
